Prophetic Word!
“The trumpet has sounded, the battle is raging. Do you hear it? Will you answer its call? Will you go? God’s call to go into all the world is plain and it was obvious that this was my time to go. Before I answered yes to this call I had been vague about spiritual warfare and didn’t understand that Haiti’s battle for survival is urgent. This battle for the survival of Haiti is a real battle and God is calling His church to rise up and take on the call to partner with Him to deliver victory over Haiti.

As we flew into Haiti, the Lord began to give me a vision. We had to circle several times before landing. While circling, I noticed a dark thin film covering the ocean. I began to pray. As I prayed, little fingers like rivers broke through the film. The more I prayed the more the rivers grew in number and size. After the third or so pass over the ocean several of these rivers came together and formed a wider opening in the film. Suddenly an azure blue light shined up from the depths of this wider opening. I was so mesmerized that I stopped praying to gaze. When I did, the rivers closed up and the larger aperture disappeared. I immediately began to pray again and the rivers reappeared. Once again several converged to cause the larger opening. The light was even more astounding than the first time. This happened three times and then the Lord spoke and said, “ Tell my people that if they will hover over Haiti in prayer like this plane has hovered over her then it will begin to break across the darkness. My rivers of life will begin to flow once again in this land. At first it will seem like small streams, but if the people refuse to be silent and continue to pray then the streams will unite and my glory will break forth from the depths of this land and the darkness will recede.”

Up until that time I had no idea what God was doing in Haiti and what my specific mission to Haiti was, but at that moment I knew I had come to pray and to prophesy life over this nation that God had created to be so beautiful. Her beauty was evident but had definitely been marred. Something arose in me that I cannot describe but I know that it is birthed in heaven and is part of a mighty warring spirit that I have to say yes to.

There are lots of uncomfortable things in Haiti for the spoiled American. No electricity. No toilets. No beds. No privacy while bathing. Big scorpions. Bandits. Armed peacekeepers. BUT there are so many wonderful things that offset these minor inconveniences. There is a church in Haiti that has a heart that has been ravished by Jesus. They are wild about worshipping Him!
